Job Description
The Website Manager is responsible for the overall health, functionality, and effectiveness of the company’s website(s). This critical role involves overseeing data entry operations, managing the technical team responsible for website development and maintenance, and collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure seamless content flow and alignment with marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and a keen understanding of digital marketing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Operations & Data Management: * Oversee all website content updates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. * Manage and optimize the data entry process for website content, products, services, and other relevant information. * Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures for website content. * Conduct regular audits of website content to identify and correct errors, broken links, and outdated information. * Ensure the website’s information architecture is intuitive and user-friendly. * Implement and manage content management systems (CMS) and other website tools.
- Technical Team Leadership & Oversight: * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of website developers, IT specialists, or technical support personnel. * Define technical requirements for website features, functionalities, and integrations. * Oversee website development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget. * Manage website hosting, security, backups, and disaster recovery plans. * Monitor website performance, identify technical issues, and implement solutions promptly. * Stay updated with emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices. * Ensure website compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, accessibility standards).
- Collaboration with Marketing: * Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align website content and functionality with marketing campaigns and objectives. * Facilitate the timely publication of marketing-related content, promotions, and landing pages. * Collaborate on website A/B testing and optimization initiatives to improve user experience and conversion rates. * Provide website analytics and performance insights to the marketing team to inform strategies. * Ensure the website effectively supports lead generation, customer engagement, and brand building efforts. * Participate in planning sessions to integrate website initiatives into broader marketing strategies.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: * Track, analyze, and report on key website performance metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion rates, bounce rate, page load speed). * Utilize website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to identify trends and areas for improvement. * Prepare regular reports for senior management on website performance, project status, and strategic recommendations. * Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
