Job Description

 On-Page SEO for Product Catalog

  • Optimize product pages (PDPs), category pages (PLPs), and brand pages for search relevance and ranking.
  • Write and refine SEO-friendly product titles, meta descriptions, and H1s using best practices.
  • Ensure keyword mapping across core categories (e.g., Cement, Paint, Power Tools, Electrical Fixtures).
  • Use schema markup for product rich results (price, availability, ratings).

Technical SEO

  • Audit the e-commerce site regularly for crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and indexation issues.
  • Optimize URL structure, internal linking, sitemap hierarchy, and canonical tags.
  • Monitor Core Web Vitals and collaborate with developers to improve mobile speed and UX.

 Content Strategy & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the content team on blogs, guides, and landing pages (e.g., “How to choose wall paint”, “Best tools for tiling”).
  • Develop SEO briefs for product-focused content and seasonal campaigns (e.g., renovation season, Black Friday).
  • Update outdated content and merge thin pages to improve content depth.

Tracking & Analysis

  • Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, CTRs, bounce rates, and conversions for product and category pages.
  • Use tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Benchmark competitors in the construction/home improvement e-commerce space.
